"Gypsy
Boys" ("Naughty Boys" would be more precise), is an ensemble film about
a group of horny, attractive twenty-somethings living and playing in San
Francisco. A low-budget film about the trials and tribulations of getting
laid and finding love in the world's gay mecca, "Gypsy Boys" is light,
fun, eye-candy kind of fare. The film's main characters paint an accurate
picture of the San Francisco gay citizenry. Manuel (Alberto Rosas), a
sexy and intelligent Latino guy, is smitten with his best friend Aaron
(Zeke Wheeler) and growing weary of their platonic relationship. David
(Robert Hampton) is suffering from the loss of his boyfriend who has moved
out to better address his sexual pursuits. Steven (Adam Gavzer) wishes
his sometimes-physical relationship with Blair (Jud Parker) would become
emotional, but Blair is chronically non-monogamous. Kevin (Tom McCann)
has elaborate fantasies about a blond stud (Greg Crandall) who keeps catching
his eye. These characters interact and mingle over a three day period
in and around San Francisco's Castro. From the clubs to the parties we
watch as these boys move in and out of love (and beds). |
