Filmmakers Soloman Burbridge and Gregory Arden From "Ugly Parade" will
be in attendance. Oh, have the Boys been busy! We are pleased to present
another shorts program jam packed with works from and about the men of
our community. A hilarious satire of the American sitcom, "Rick and Steve
the Happiest Couple in All the World," follows the adventures of a zany
group of friends. In "Rape of Ganymede," the classic Greek myth is retold
the way it really happened. A mother deals with the death of her son through
the chance encounter with an invalid pianist in "A Strain of You." In
lush and beautiful landscape, a monk mourns the loss of his spiritual
teacher in "The Offering." Evoking the style of Wong Kar-Wai, "Davie St.
Blues" follows a man through an evening as he himself is haunted by his
past lover. In "A Good Son" young desires are set aflame at a high school
diving match, while in "Knocked Out," masturbation takes disastrous turn.
And finally, the fantabulous variety show featuring Tony Mangini seeks
another member to please the trickiest of all critics in "Ugly Parade." |
