Set in Hollywood during the “alternative” music scene, PREY FOR ROCK & ROLL stuns you with an adrenaline fueled soundtrack and musical performances. The lead role of Jacki is intensely performed by Gina Gershon of BOUND, who actually sings the music written by Cheri Lovedog. Jacki is a no-bullshit punk rocker struggling to deal with her internal issue with her age, and keeping her all-chick band, Clamdandy together.

Jacki and her bandmates trust fund baby bassist Tracy (Drea De Matteo, HBO’s “The Sopranos”), tattoo sporting lead guitarist Faith (Lori Petty, TANK GIRL, LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN), and twenty-something love-child of Shirley Temple and Keith Moon drummer Sally (Shelly Cole, “Gilmore Girls”, THE PRINCESS AND THE BARRIO BOY), survive it all: dangerous sex games, a loveable ex-con (Marc Blucas), internal friction, and industry slime balls. Through it all ­ they are unstoppable.

PREY FOR ROCK & ROLL is based on the autobiographical rock musical about Lovedog’s life as the founder, singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist for the 80’s all-girl rock-and-roll band of the same name. This funny, tragic, sexy tale of friendship, passion and survival is a must see masterfully crafted first feature film directed by Alex Steyermark (music supervisor for HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, CROOKLYN, MALCOLM X, and THE ICE STORM).
