witty, wise and wonderful - the short films of David Weissman...”

Producer and co-director of
the hit 2002 documentary The Cockettes, David Weissman will present a program of his award-winning
short films and discuss his work.
Dating back to 1984, Weissman’s
films range from drag queen comedies, to all-singing films, to film
festival promotional trailers and HIV preventions PSAs. The films, ranging
from :30 seconds to 8 minutes in length reflect David’s offbeat
humor and politics as well as the changing currents of queer life in
San Francisco over the years.
Weissman’s films have
screened in hundreds of film festivals internationally and have been
broadcast in the US and Europe.
Films to be show include Beauties Without A Cause, Song From An Angel, 976-, Complaints, The Steps, and excerpt
from The Cockettes, and more.
David
Weissman will attend the screening to discuss his short films and queer
filmmaking
