Exes and Ohs

In 2006, to mark her silver anniversary as a performer, Kate Clinton embarked on a 50-city “It’s Come to This!” tour, sponsored by the National Center for Lesbian Rights. Her hilarious performances are interspersed with a variety of personal moments along the tour route, including backstage banter with her
18-year partner Urvashi Vaid, a public reading from her new book "What the L?", and cameos from Lily Tomlin, Melissa Etheridge, Billie Jean King, Marga Gomez, Vickie Shaw and other lesbian comics. For a woman who has successfully changed people’s lives and minds through her smart style of lesbian humor, it’s a tribute well earned.

Set in Seattle, “Exes and Ohs” follows the ups and downs of five lesbian friends. At the center of the group is Jennifer Butler, a smart, single documentary filmmaker with a vivid fantasy life and a floundering career. Jennifer’s surrogate family is always there to help. They include: Sam, her best friend, a sexy commitment-phobe who flips real estate almost as fast as she flips women; Chris and Kris, a long-term lesbian couple who are trying to start a family even as they expand their online pet accessory business; and Crutch, a young singer/songwriter who wants to be taken seriously by the rest of the group but first has some growing up to do. Together, this tight-knit group of friends helps each other survive singlehood, couplehood… and one another.
